Visit Ozark Outpost Center
Welcome! We invite you to experience our training model firsthand. Ozark Outpost Center is located in rural Houston, Missouri, with our city-center health food store operating in nearby Mountain Grove, Missouri.
A visit to our campus can include a tour of our grounds, a walk-through of the industries and student-built projects, and when appropriate, time in worship or a class.
Schedule a Campus Tour (Houston, MO)
Our campus tours offer a firsthand look at our unique educational model. You'll walk through our 75x75 main building, which houses our kitchen, lecture space, health rooms, classrooms, media room, and student rooms.
You will also see our student-built projects and garden areas, and when possible, quietly observe part of worship or a work block. To respect our students' privacy and schedule, some areas may not be open at all times.
Tours are designed for parents, prospective students, and younger siblings (with close supervision). Because we are a working campus, tours are by appointment only so our staff can be fully available to host you.
What You'll See:
- Main training facility and classrooms
- Student-built housing and construction projects
- Agriculture and garden areas
- Campus industries in action

Mountain Grove Health-Food Store
This location functions as the "city feeder" for Ozark Outpost Center. Guests can purchase health foods and see some of the products our students help produce, such as baked goods and natural remedies. While our hygienic restaurant is still in development, we currently partner with The Tree Of Life Natural Foods to provide our students with hands-on experience in a city-center ministry.
At times, you will see our students on site assisting in the store or giving short health mini-lectures as part of their practical training.
Families curious about our school can stop here first to meet our team, pick up printed materials, and see how a small city-center ministry supports a rural training school.
What to Expect on Your Visit
Our daily rhythm is intentionally simple: morning worship, focused academics like Bible and Anatomy & Physiology, afternoon trades and industries (garden, bakery, health rooms, media, construction), and evening worship and home-life.
Please know that our campus is a work in progress. You will see buildings under construction, student-built housing, and simple furnishings. This is not a lack of resources, but an intentional part of our training model—students learn by building and maintaining their own campus.
Safety and supervision are paramount. We have clear rules about tools, age-appropriate work, and staff presence (including parental tool permission forms for students). We ask that visitors respect our modest dress standards and maintain respectful behavior while on campus.
Note for homeschool families: If you are visiting with younger children, please plan to keep them with you at all times for their safety around our working industries.
Campus Diet & Sabbath Covenant
OOC is a Medical Missionary environment. To support clear minds and healthy bodies, our campus is free from dairy, caffeine, and chocolate. We ask parents to respect this rhythm in all communications and care packages.
Enrollment requires a signed commitment to Form 5250-A (Attendance & Sabbath Observance Covenant), ensuring a unified rhythm of industry and rest across our campus.
